Meditation on paper / Diptych , each framed 40×50 cm with a passepartout
There are two key factors in the creation of this work. One is the meditative state I enter prior to painting. The second is the specific date and space in time it is created in. Seemingly random movements of a brush on paper capture a particular moment, a certain energy. Never to be repeated again. Being present in every day – we can tap into this understanding that life is full of these seemingly random, simple moments that are unique. You have watched a flock of birds before, you have kissed your child goodnight many times before…but each moment is completely singular and in that, truly magnificent.
